DR. ADRIAN OXMAN

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

I am a clinical psychologist in private practice in Hoboken, NJ. I am licensed in New York (022997) and New Jersey (6095) and am able to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology (APIT) in all 39 PSYPACT participating states (16911).

I attended George Washington University as an undergraduate, majoring in Political Psychology. Subsequently, I attended The New School for Social Research for my Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology. I completed my Master of Education and doctoral degrees at Pace University where I was the recipient of the Ivan Wentworth-Rohr Award for Outstanding Clinical Practice.

I work from a client centered, cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic framework that incorporates current research in neuroscience, developmental psychology, and attachment theory. I believe that therapy should be collaborative and pride myself on my warm and open-minded approach. I am a therapist, but I am also a real person. My therapeutic style employs empathetic attunement with candor and a bit of humor. I aim to help you make connections and bring about deeper awareness so that you feel more grounded, centered, and connected to yourself and those around you. My hope is that you will emerge from the therapy process with a new understanding of your needs and the fortitude necessary to meet them.

From my personal, professional and academic experience, I know just how valuable and life-changing the therapy experience can be. I feel privileged to be able to help people live more fulfilling lives and honored to be trusted with such an intimate transformation.
